As you may or may not know, I recently left California Scents to pursue my own business. I have partnered up with a logistics company called GlobalTranz (http://www.globaltranz.com) that offers carrier, supply chain and warehouse management.
Most of my customers are businesses who utilize our exclusive, state-of-the-art web booking system CarrierRate.com to ship LTL freight (i.e. shipments from 100-10,000lbs) at highly discounted rates. Our system is kind of like Travelocity for freight. You punch in the details of the shipment and you choose which carrier gives the best rate and transit time. Shipments can be quoted and booked in about three minutes.
Because of our volume (2,500 shipments a day) we get incredible discounts from 60+ national and regional carriers and can pass the savings on to a company that ships 5 pallets a day or two a week. One of my customers was just quoted $598.00 by one of North America's largest logistics company. I was able to ship her freight at $434.00!
We also handle truckload, air, and international shipments of all sizes.
Now for the reason I am giving you all of this freight mumbo jumbo. I wanted to see if any of you work for a company that ships freight.
