My friend Chris's mom works for the Rockefeller Center Management office and when Chris heard that we were interested in going to see the tree lighting he got us these really great VIP badges. Too bad, there were 5 billion other people that had them too! So in the spirit of experiencing all of NYC's great events we went. Our VIP passes got us a great view of the tree, but absolutely no view of any of the musical performances. So, after standing in the cold for an hour, we decided to find a pub, get some beer and dinner and view the event from a wonderfully big screen tv.
