When I came to visit NYC in June of 2005 with school one of the most important things I had to see was CBGB. I have read so much about this musically historical spot that I couldn't wait! When we got there it was awesome. Some one let me inside the club although it was closed, to take a look around and I could hear the echo in the walls from all the fantastic noise that was made in there. Due to loss of funding and a lot of drama the spot was sold to John Varvatos a few years ago and turned into one of his stores. John Varvatos tried very hard to keep the dignity of the spot with his rock n' roll style but its just not the same. I suppose it better than it turning into a K-mart.
