The Empire State Building

The other day I had to run and errand, and hand deliver our tax papers from my office to our accountant, who happens to have an office in the Empire State Building. Hmmm. When I got there I really didn't know what to expect. I remember when I was 10ish, I stood in line and went to the observation deck when we were there for a family trip and it was excruciating and took forever. Well, not this time. I just walked up to the right security man (in their old school door man outfits), told him which floor and who, went through security (a metal detector), and in the elevator I went all alone. It was kind of weird. Things like this, going past all the tourists, to accomplish a work task at the Empire State Building is really like a small pat on the back that I live and work in this cool town!

While in the building I took a few cool snapshots from my phone, of the inside of the elevator and the elevator call button. Very art deco and just neato burrito all around.
