I'm visiting Ania next week in New York. I am so honored that she asked me to write the first guest entries for her new blog, but the privilege came with stipulations; I was told to write one entry before I left San Francisco, about what I expected from—or hoped for—my trip, and the second about what actually happened. So, here I'm simply posting my still-in-progress list, a document of desired venues to visit, friends to hang out with, and new folks to meet. The list includes my own favorites and new recommendations from solicited people.
