Asia and I decided to have a low key, Polish style Easter. On Thursday we headed to Greenpoint to pick up some Zurek (Polish breakfast soup), butter that is so delicious, Kabanos (like Kielbasa), bread and other tummy fulfilling things. We were quite looking forward to out feast. Saturday, Asia came over and we died eggs and acted silly, but due to the crappy weather we never made it to Swieconka (Easter basket blessing). Chrissy gave us one of her blinged out, blessed eggs so we are hoping it spread the love to the rest of the food in our basket. Sunday, we headed off to church for noon mass at St. Patricks (which was a zoo) and walked through the "Easter Parade on 5th Ave" aka people hanging out in crazy hats. Weird. After that we headed back to my place where we finally got to inhale all the amazing food we prepared, watched "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and just hung out. It was a great weekend, and a great Easter!
(PS- That's us in our 'eating pants')
