So 4th of July weekend was last weekend and it was amazing. Alexis came into town Thursday afternoon and since I seemed to have caught a bug, we stayed in Thurs night. Friday we headed out to Newark to pick up our rental car, which we appropriately named Vinny, and than headed down to the jersey Shore, specifically point Pleasant. The beach itself was super fun, clean and just such a nice vacation spot. Totally not what we expected of Jersey. We found a really cool spot called "Tiki Bar" to get some lunch and had a 'few' beers to unwind before laying out for a bit. The day's forecast was 'isolated thunderstorms' so it would pour rain for 15 minutes and than the sun would come out and than an hour later it would pour rain all over gain. It was rather entertaining to see people scrambling to get off the beach or under their umbrella's, even though it wasn't col, just wet. Anyways, we hung out for a bit than headed to my friend Wes' house where we ordered White Castle (for the first time) and than headed back home. It was the first time I've ever driven through the City and I survived!
